Description

Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War.  We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history.  From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

Our day tours begin 2pm at the Axelrod Walkway Park next to the Peabody Essex Museum. Your guide will take you on a unique route of Salem, visiting sites that inspired Poe, Lovecraft and Hawthorne. As our tour is unscripted, your guide will take you away from the more crowded areas and give you the true stories behind the legends.

We visit such locations as The Old Burying Point Cemetery and Witch Trials Memorial, The Old London Coffee House (meeting place of the Sons of Liberty), The Old Town Hall, Historic Derby Square, and much more!

All of our guides are trained and licensed performers AND historians. We take great pride in the fact that every story we tell has the research to confirm every fascinating detail. They will make YOU and your experience their first priority.
